Fletcher's Boathouse |
![]() Fletcher's Boathouse After four generations in the Fletcher family, Fletcher's Boathouse changed ownership in 2004, but the charm remains. Strategically located two miles from Georgetown, Fletcher's Boathouse (now branded as Fletcher's Cove), has dock access to both the Potomac River and the C&O Canal. The boathouse sells fishing licenses ($10 for Washington DC residents) and rents kayaks, canoes, rowboats, and bicycles. All the bases are covered for your water (or land) adventure. Their C&O Canal access, especially, is a big draw for beginners. Take Tuesday evenings for example - with a $5 rental and lesson, Fletcher's Boathouse is the place to be. As for the paddle-yourselfers, where you paddle is up to you. |
