In any case, Paddle or Pedal, located within the boundaries of Quiet Waters Park and accessed via the Harness Creek Trail, will hook you up with the gear. In the water department, Paddle or Pedal rents recreational kayaks, touring kayaks, double kayaks, canoes, pedal boats, and rowboats, all of which are priced within the $12 to $20 per hour range. Bicycles are available for $10 an hour, which is plenty of time to complete the six mile Bike Path trail loop.

The unique draw of Paddle or Pedal is it's strategic location in Quiet Waters Park, an outdoor recreation haven near Annapolis. Their dock juts directly out into Harness Creek, offering paddlers the opportunity to explore the undeveloped shores of the park. Heeding the trend of sunset tours (see Jack's Boathouse), Paddle or Pedal also offers a one-hour Saturday evening kayak tour. With a bike ride and a paddling tour on the Saturday night slate, you just might want to push back that reservation to O'Learys!
